Jason R. Kenney

JASON R. KENNEY, born on March 31, 1980, is a native of New Orleans.  He attended Louisiana State University for undergraduate studies and graduated in 2002 with a bachelor degree in Finance.  After his undergraduate studies, he began Tulane University Law School, during which time he was an active member of the Tulane Moot Court.  During law school he was the Moot Court Junior Trial Champion, a Moot Court Senior Trial Competition semi-finalist, nominated as the President of Tulane’s Student Chapter of ATLA, and coach and team member for the Louisiana ATLA trial competition.  He received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane in 2005.

He has practiced maritime law since being admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2005.  He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.   During his career he has tried Maritime personal injury cases and collision cases in both federal and state court.  He is also an active member of the Port of New Orleans Mariner’s Club, volunteers as a teacher at Brother Martin High School, and is a staff writer for Marsh and Bayou Magazine. Mr. Kenney is married with two children.
